Bollywood Bhanchha-Cooking Classes for Culinary Warriors
The People Behind the Bollywood Bhanchha
Bollywood Bhanchha is the brainchild of two warrior women: Ivy Singh-Lim aka “The Gentle Warrior Farmer-preneur” and “The Little Scorpion”. Both women grew up in strong families and see the need to share their fortunate lives to all people to have a zest for living purposeful lives.
Lynn says, “In an era where pesticides and nasty toxins like melamine make food headlines and strike fear into the hearts of men, we believe it’s time for a return to healthy, unprocessed food. Not only that, but with many countries including Singapore relying mainly on imported food, there’s room to improve and ramp up what’s grown locally. Why eat stuff flown from far away at the expense of your own food culture? Why clobber our planet with carbon emissions when we could be growing more food at home?”
Managed under Lynn’s careful guidance as a Cordon Bleu chef, the Bollywood Bhanchha will spread the message about sustainable food, and get ordinary people empowered to take action in the kitchen. She will focus on how to raise, source, buy, select, prepare, and indulge in the finest of local cuisine native to the Southeast Asian region. Located on site at Bollywood Veggies, farm harvested produce will be used by the Bhanchha in a variety of cooking activities and classes for those wishing to reclaim their food and a healthy lifestyle. If you’re ready to take action and put control of your food back in your own hands, you should definitely join a cooking class.
In addition to Bollywood Veggies Farm Tours and dining at the Poison Ivy Bistro we also offer a number of culinary programmes hosted at the Bollywood Bhanchha-- our Warriors’ Kitchen. These will help you build your teamwork, bone up your cooking skills, and do culinary battle with even the fussiest mother-in-law. All programmes are run by our very own Cordon Bleu Chef de Cuisine Lynn Ee aka “The Little Scorpion”.
